Privacy policy

The short version: this site has no accounts, no cookies, no advertising, and nothing that tracks you as a person. Beyond simple, anonymous visit counts, the only information we receive about you is what you choose to send us.

Things we don't do

  • No accounts or logins. Reading posts and downloading files never requires signing up.
  • No cookies.
  • No advertising, and nothing that follows you around the web or builds a profile of you.
  • No selling or sharing your information with anyone.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, your name, email address, website (if you give one), and message are emailed to Jacob Wood so he can reply. They're kept in his inbox like any other email and aren't added to any mailing list.

Videos

Videos on this site show a thumbnail stored on our own server. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you choose to play a video. When you do, the video plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and Google's privacy policy applies to that video.

Visit counts

We use GoatCounter to count visits, so we know which pages people find useful. GoatCounter uses no cookies and doesn't collect personal information. It records things like which page was viewed, the site you came from, and your browser, screen size, and country, and it doesn't store your IP address. It can't identify you or follow you to other sites. Its privacy policy explains the details.

Server logs

Like every website, our web host automatically records basic technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, the page requested, and your browser type. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure.

Your light or dark mode choice

If you use the Dark mode button, your choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It's never sent to us.

Posts link to other websites, such as game publishers and stores. Their own privacy policies apply once you follow a link.
